I defended my Ph.D. thesis (Privacy in Outsourced Databases)
on Monday, November 27th, 2006, and submitted my thesis that following Friday!
I have been working at Quest Software as
their Security and Compliance Architect since January, 2006.
Brief Introduction
I was a Computer Science Ph.D. student at the Univeristy of
California, Irvine, working in the field of security and cryptography with my
advisor, Dr. Gene Tsudik.
Our security research group at UCI is the Secure
Computing and Networking Center (SCONCE),
which again is part of the
bigger Center for Cyber-Security and Privacy.
In the first halft of 2005 I was an intern at the NEC Europe Network Laboratories
where I was part of a team, led by Dr. Dirk Westhoff, conducting research on Wireless Sensor Network
security issues. In the summer of 2005 I tought a 10-week undergraduate course at UCI entitled
"Computer and Network Security".
